Frequently Asked Questions

How did you get started with music photography?

I've been photographing bands for about 10 years now. It all started with going to see local bands preform. Photographing the local bands gave me a chance to make a music portfolio and made my way up the food chain from there.

Do you sell prints of the bands that you photograph?

No I do not, this is something I choose not to do myself.  Many music photographers do sell their prints of the bands / artists and that's good on them. I just believe that those images were taken for the publication I was shooting for and not for my financial gain. I do use photographs I have taken for my online and printed portfolio for showing examples of work I have done.

What type of camera equipment do you use?

I use top of the line professional Canon equipment. I love camera gear and would consider myself a bit of a gear junkie / hoarder.  My two main camera bodies that I use are Canon 5D IV. Having a wide variety of lenses gives me lots of choices for the images I am creating. For concerts I generally use zoom lenses and for wedding and portraits I prefer to use prime lenses.

How would you describe your photography style?

My goal in wedding photography is to stay true to your story with a photo journalistic approach. I hope that you love your images as much as you love to have you love your images just as much as you love one another whether you're looking at one image or an entire album. Bright and vibrant is how I choose edit my images. I believe having images that look as close as possible  to how the natural eye see it makes for timeless images.

How long have you been in business?

I have been running a professional photography business since 2013.

How many weddings have you photographed?

To date I have photographed over 20+ weddings.
